Flaming River Nostalgia Non-Tilt 1940 Ford Column
Flaming River has introduced steering columns for the popular 1940 Ford, plus other street rods desiring the period ‘retro’ look.
The column is based upon the classic stainless steel Flaming River roadster column. The upper end shaft uses a splined shaft, and is designed for use with aftermarket reproduction ’40 Ford-style wheels.
The laser-crafted column uses all-new components including wiring harness, featuring either a 1-1/2in or 1-3/4in stainless steel tube below the CNC-machined cast stainless steel bell to further enhance the retro feel of the wheel/column combination. The column uses a modern, self-canceling turn signal stalk and a hazard-warning switch. The columns are available with a hazard delete option. The columns are available in either polished or mill finish (paintable) versions, and use a 3/4in-36 splined output shaft.
This isn’t a rebuilt junkyard column, but rather an all new Flaming River engineered column featuring all new components. Made in the USA.
All Flaming River columns are made from 304 grade stainless steel, in paintable mill finish OR polished to a high luster. They will never rust and are chemically clean and can be painted to match or highlight an interior with only minor preparation.
